We will be raising money by selling postcard sized original art by professional and amateur artists and even some celebrities too. They have created small but carefully executed pieces of art in all mediums, textile, plaster & paint, pencil, pen and ink, watercolour, oil and even dichroic glass and Bristol Blue glass and more. The original postcards can be seen at Ferini Art Gallery - Pakefield from Friday 20th July until Sunday 12th August 2018 within their very popular annual summer show. You will get a chance to make a pre-bid at that exhibition culminating in a LIVE auction run by Nicholas Rudge from Durrant’s of Beccles on Wednesday 15th August at 7pm at Ivy House Country Hotel - Oulton Broad - Lowestoft

More about Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is Suffolk’s nature charity – the only organisation dedicated wholly to safeguarding Suffolk’s wildlife and countryside.

We make a difference for Suffolk by:

•Managing nature reserves and securing a bigger, better and more connected landscape for wildlife

•Inspiring the next generation of conservationists through our education centres and work with community groups

Suffolk Broads Nature Reserve

In every way, the scale of the opportunity Suffolk Wildlife Trust has now to create 1000 acres of Wildness in the Broads is unprecedented.

The wildlife value of the current reserves of Carlton Marshes and Oulton Marshes is reflected in the national and international habitat protection given to them, but it was relatively recently that the incomparable richness of the Broads National Park became clear to ecologists. We now realise the diversity of species and the number of rare and unique species that depend on the Broads for their survival far exceeds all other UK National Parks.

So, the chance to create a magnificent wild landscape is of National significance for wildlife. We hope it will ultimately become the Suffolk Broads National Nature Reserve. After decades of artificially low water levels, we will work with nature to restore the landscape of reed, marsh and fen that makes Broadland so special. The emergence of this new landscape will be thrilling to watch.

The reserve can be easily reached by train, boat, car, bus, bicycle – or on foot from much of Lowestoft. Few wild places of such size and importance are located this close to so many people and so many schools.

“Please help Suffolk Wildlife Trust rescue this precious corner of East Anglia and bring back wildlife in all its splendour” Sir David Attenborough
